Before your first contact or appointment with the pharmacy, you’ll need to have your BC Personal Health Number, personal contact information, extended insurance details (including policy and certificate ID numbers), a history of previously tried oral preventative medications (with names, strengths, dates, and effects if available), your current number of headache days per month, and the anticipated date of your first appointment with the clinic. Once you’ve gathered this information, the pharmacy team will review your medication and insurance history, coordinate with your insurer and any financial assistance programs, arrange delivery or pickup of your medication, and be available to answer any questions.
