At University Pharmacy we carry a large variety of upper and lower limb bracing and splinting products from leading suppliers in Canada including Donjoy, Ossur, Champion, Tensor Sport, and Med Spec. In addition we stock crutches (forearm/regular), knee rovers, various athletic/kinesiology tapes, Thera-band resistance products, cryotherapy pumps, and other recovery aids. On the advice of your doctor or physiotherapist we can fit you to the appropriate device to help you get back on the path to recovery.

After each purchase we will provide you with a medical invoice receipt that may be used to claim the cost of the device under your insurance.

For more extensive or unique injuries, we also provide custom bracing upon appointment.

 

Sigvaris Compression

Do you have tired, achy legs? Swollen ankles? Spider or varicose veins? Long distance travel, standing or sitting for long periods of time, even pregnancy may constrain blood circulation and increase the risk for the development of thrombosis (blood clot formation) Blood clots may end up in the lungs, resulting in a pulmonary embolism.

Wearing graduated compression stockings or socks may increase leg/foot comfort and help prevent flight-related DVT. The external pressure provided by the socks will support your veins, increasing circulation back towards the heart and reduces the chance of swollen, tired legs.
